Online marketing for your SPIN® or cycling studio: improving Google rank

There is only two ways you can become highly visible on Google:  1) Buy keywords and pay Google for advertising that comes up during relevant searches, or 2) Have a site that Google ranks highly naturally.   #2 is vastly preferable — but it means taking steps that improve your website’s natural “findability”.  While the details of Google’s ranking method are complex — a few things are known.  In addition to having relevant key words and topics on your site, your site become more credible (in Google’s eyes) if it is ‘linked to’ by other high traffic and authoritative sites.

How does that work?  Think of it like this:  Let’s say your site and another studio or gym down the road had websites with content that was roughly equivalent.  If your site contained “inbound”  links from other high-traffic, relevant sites……this would pump up your ranking in search engines like Google.
